NYC by Look Magazine

January 3rd, 2010 · No comment

lookLook Magazine was one NY eye where writers but mainly photographers reported on what the whole country called the most exciting city in the world. Stanley Kubrick sold his first photo to the magazine. He was 16 years old. The magazine closed in 1971 and gave its photos collection – 5 millions – to the library of Congress. The Museum of the City of New York has an exhibition. The images go from the mid-1940s until the early 1960s. A book is published and it’s the first ever for Look.RB

Only in New York: Photographs from LOOK Magazine continues through April 10.
